Welcome to

ALTON LITTLE THEATER

“I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.”

Oscar Wilde, Poet/Playwright

“Of course, we all come to the Theater with Baggage; But if our hearts get opened and released…well, that is what theater can do…and does sometimes…and everyone is thankful when that happens.”

K.E. Baltimore
“Any form of Art is a force of power, it has impact, it can affect change — it can not only move us, it makes US move.”

Spring Into Fun at Alton Little Theater: Your Go-To for Family Entertainment!

Springtime in Alton, Illinois, is not just about blooming flowers and warmer weather; it’s also when the Alton Little Theater (ALT) truly comes to life with a lineup of events that promise fun, learning, and unforgettable experiences for the entire family. From youth acting classes to Disney tribute concerts and classic musicals, ALT is setting the stage for a season packed with entertainment.

A Season of Learning and Growth

The excitement kicks off with our Open House on April 28th, an event that marks the beginning of an exciting journey for young aspiring actors aged 8-17. Here, they can pre-register for our two-week Youth Acting classes in July, designed to hone their skills and ignite their passion for the performing arts. But that’s not all – this event also offers a sneak peek into the world of auditions, especially useful for those looking to participate in our summer production of Oliver! With auditions scheduled for May 11th and May 18th, we welcome everyone to bring their best song, biggest smile, and a willingness to dive into the world of theater. Find out more about these opportunities and how to register on our Youth Acting Classes page.

A Tribute to Disney Magic

Following closely on the heels of our educational endeavors are the Disney Tribute Concerts, running from May 31st to June 9th. These performances are a dream come true for Disney aficionados of all ages, bringing beloved songs and characters to life in a way that only ALT can. For details and ticket information, make sure to visit the Disney Tribute Concerts page.

Breakfast with Princesses and the Famous Pancake Man

An extraordinary addition to our spring schedule is the Pancake Breakfast with the Princesses on June 1st, featuring none other than the famous Pancake Man from Chris Cakes. This unique experience offers families the chance to enjoy delicious pancakes with their favorite princesses. With limited seating available, ensure you secure your tickets by calling ALT at 618-462-3205.

Classic Musical: Singin’ in the Rain

No spring season at ALT would be complete without a musical production, and this year, we are proud to present Singin’ in the Rain. Directed by the talented duo of Lee Cox and Kevin Frakes, this beloved classic takes us back to the era when Hollywood transitioned from silent films to talkies. Performances will run on selected dates in May, offering evening and matinee options for our audience. For a night of memorable music and storytelling, grab your tickets at Singin’ in the Rain.

Your Community Theater Awaits
